The easier way is the way, which we would use in exam and that is through step-by-step workings. These workings are where we will score marks (easy marks) and even for the wrong figures calculated, you would get marks (method marks, consistency marks, etc.) for taking these figures to the Income Statement and Balance Sheet (consolidated).
