Which of the following would be the best way to display production rates over the last 10 years?
a. Bar chart
b. Line Graph
c. Pie Chart
d. Table
answer: B (in the mock) (I think its wrong )
Cause, my thinking is it should be A. Bar chat. we can easily show 10 years rates in bar-chart
cause we compare numbers & other measures in the bar chart.
but in the line chart, we compare between two variables. it’s useful for identifying trends & patterns .
please correct me if I’m wrong
I think the B is correct. since we are taking about production rate with respect to time(10years). the line graph will help you as a manager to easily identify the trend in production than the bar graph. also the bar graph is used when the data is not continues and are of different categories

I agree with Lamini. Also with these types of questions you are looking for best way of presenting data even though other options given may be possible. I considered this on following thread-
