Would we be given graph paper in exams to draw breakeven and profit volume charts and how accurate do these charts have to be?
October 7, 2012 at 8:04 am #105407Well I am asking that because if I remember correctly we were given graph papers at cat paper 10 exam ,when I attempted it. and additionally , I would like to know can we use pencil in paper for drawing such chart or at least for measurements ?
October 8, 2012 at 4:42 am #105408Sometimes you are given graph paper, but usually not.
If not, then it does not have to be perfectly accurate, but you should use a ruler, be neat, and draw a big graph/chart.You cannot use pencil – your answers are scanned and they have to be in black ink.
October 8, 2012 at 11:28 am #105409So can I expect to draw linear programming graph and p/v charts on plane paper in exams and which paper should i practice on ?
October 8, 2012 at 1:57 pm #105410Yes – you can expect to have to draw them on the ordinary paper that the ACCA provide. They provide lined paper.
You are not expected to draw them precisely – just to be reasonably accurate and neat. (You will never be expected to read any figures from the graph or chart which is why it does not need to be perfectly accurate).
