sir in the exam if question no. 1 turns up like the ones in specimen 1 and 2, then do we lose marks if we don’t mention the journal entires but just do away with mentioning the effect(in terms of increase/decrease) on goodwill and any corresponding effect on liability account or something.
i don’t have problems writing the journal entry but i just often find myself rushing through section a due to time crunch!
Increase / decrease is fine – no need to write debits and credits.
