i am doing my professional level papers but when i look back to when i started acca, i feel i have not achieved the goals i have set and the ambitions i had in mind. it has been over 4 years and the june sitting will make it 5 years. how does someone deal with failed ambitions
January 12, 2012 at 7:18 am #92872Well,
Think of Tomas Edison , who made 10.000 experiments before he finally succeded to create electical lamp.
Or think of Beetles who were rejected by 50 studios before they finally got a contract.
Or simply of people who were going to some goal for all their lives and only at age of 40 or even more, they career or results started to got up and get recognised. It’s a good thing of human nature that we can look back, appreciate our results and feel unsatisfied. Because that’s the start of future work towards success.
Finally, think of handicaped, sick or extremely poor people, who would wish to study, but simply can not do that by any possible way. And cannot reach anything in life except to survive one more day maybe.
Even if i take my example,
people with my profile reach such high results, but as for me, i’m already 26 and still don’t even have an adequate work experience. Though i’ve been working for almost 8 years already.
With my abilities i could get really high score in ACCA, maybe even a prize. It’s not only my opinion, even in OT people always tell me about it.
but ..what do we see. In june i got 50 for both exams and for previous exams my results are quite average, just because of my lazyness (i think that’s the most appropriate word).Look at the bright side,
you are young , healthy and almost everything is in your hands. If you are unhappy with some results and want a change then start working for it now.
I know it’s easier to say then to do., plus our responsibilities take all our time away.
But if there is a will there is a way.First of all decide what u want to change, what you want to reach , do you really need it and how you can get it. And try not to feel too bad even if absolutely everyone around you reaches way more then you , because each comming day is bringing you closer to your success!
I don’t know what you mean by failed ambitions. Maybe you wanted to get a good job or maybe you wanted a high score in ACCA or maybe you wanted to complete it faster. Whatever it is i wish you best of luck in your further studies and in your life.
