Mike Sir,
Exactly a year back in June 2013 I started my ACCA journey and this June I am an affiliate. To top it all I am a Global Prizewinner for P2 by scoring 90 marks . I give most of my credit to you.
Thank you Opentuition for helping me succeed
Your Enchanted Student,
Tejot

I’m speechless (as John will tell you, that’s a rarity!)
What fantastic news – and on Indian Independence Day and the day that MS Dhoni scored >50% of India’s first innings total in the 5th test!
Simple words cannot express the extent of my delight for your achievement and personally I am proud to be associated with this success
Well, if simple words cannot do justice, I’ll try some new ones:-

Well done indeed
Mike

Could you share your tips with me here of how you got such high marks in P2? What did you do in P2 to do so well? Actually, I’m a self study student, just using OT, so I find P2 quite difficult (especially the section B questions). What should I do to get such high marks in P2? This Dec I’m sitting P2 with P1 and P3 so I don’t have much time for P2.
Also, have ACCA sent you an e-mail confirming that you are a global prizewinner for P2?
Did you just practice all the past exams of P2? How did you study? Please share your story and experience with me.
August 15, 2014 at 6:00 pm #190435Mike I aim to get there (although I know that, for me, that is just too overly optimistic), as you know from the questions I ask on the forums, I am a student who largely struggles to barely pass but I am just intent on knowing what the “best practice” is.
August 15, 2014 at 6:18 pm #190439Thank you Mike Sir once again. I hope to keep you proud in future.
@Gabriel Yes ACCA sent me an email to confirm the same. To be frank I relied on Opentuition lectures, OT Notes and thorough practice of BPP revision kit(atleast twice) . You should focus on P2 more than P1 and P3.August 15, 2014 at 9:51 pm #190459Very well done!
Best wishes.
Gromit.

Also just a recommendation for P3 rely on OT notes and lectures. Then move on to the revision lectures and finally any good revision kit for solving past year question. No need to fret over scary study texts.Take care
August 16, 2014 at 7:27 pm #190562@ Tejot thank you so much for your generosity and advice. However, if I get the prize I can use it for solving past exam papers (as the interactive e-book includes everything, including past exam question practice so it’s very valuable). What you can do is that when you get the e-mail from OT then you will be given access (via a username and password) to a link to download the material. So if you could kindly give me access to the link (with the username and password) then I can download the book easily Is this okay with you? My e-mail is gabriel2012@mailworks.org
However, I really love OT so I’ll want to be in line with their rules. If they allow then I would be happy and it would be really nice. Technically you are the winner but it’s up to OT do decide if they can allow this to happen. I’ll be happy with whichever decision they make.
August 19, 2014 at 11:12 am #191455Congratulations Tejot that’s a fantastic achievement.
To score 90 in a P2 exam is exceptional.
August 20, 2014 at 2:08 am #191582Congratulations!!
August 22, 2014 at 11:15 am #191890Congratulations. 90 in P2 is very impressive.
August 25, 2014 at 8:38 am #192212well done
August 29, 2014 at 10:56 am #192881@ tejot
Can you share us your experience:
(1) How much of time do you spend on P2? every week how many hours?
(2) Are you accounting major related students?
(3) Are you working when you prepared for P2? or still a student? Thanks.
September 2, 2014 at 9:26 am #193281@pegermm your questions have been answered here
https://opentuition.com/spotlight/interview-acca-global-prize-winner-paper-p2/October 5, 2014 at 3:21 am #203517That’s great you are affiliate but how can you complete your journey within just one year?
December 12, 2014 at 1:49 am #220270Wow that is superb, very well done indeed Tejot!!
Can I also ask, did you like/ were you good at F7?
I didn’t like it and hence I hate P2 even more!!
I do full time tuition learning (so not used OT much) but my tutor was hopeless and I didn’t get anything really!! So I’m thinking to make a start with OT from now on!I also find it impossible how students are meant to learn such a massive syllabus (well syllabuses by doing 3 papers at a time!!) in just 3 months time!
December 12, 2014 at 10:20 am #220307Congrats Tejot 🙂
December 12, 2014 at 12:42 pm #220338Hello Fellow OT students,
Thank you for your wishes
Tamim,
As I had to give 10 exam in all minus all the exemptions.
I appeared for 3 exams in June 2013, 4 in december 2013 and finally 3 in June 2014.
Sheree,
I was good at F7, and scored 75 in my attempt. You should definitely start OT now, its a blessing. To be honest you should give yourself more than 3 months. Start early will sure help in getting great score
Regards
Tejot Singh Bhasin
