    Dear sirs,
In specimen June 2015, section b, q6, the answers shows that gifts to customers (pens costing £40 each and displaying Naive Ltd’s name) is not included in the corporation tax computation. I though this will be included in the corporation tax computation since it is under £50 per person and it displays advertisement for business.

    Please advise.

If you look at the answer, it has started with the profit before any adjustment of 395,830 and then disallowed those deduction which are not allowed like political donations. In place of gift to customer the amount added back is 0, or it means it is an allowed expense, since it less than 50 and it shows ad for the business!!! So what you are telling is what is there in the answer!!!

Calm down, no need for the exclamation mark. I think I must have got a bit muddled with the terms disallowed and allowed in the corporation tax computation.

Hopefully the problem is now resolved – thank you for attempting to answer the query raised but it’s probably better in this section to leave it to me to deal with queries – note no exclamation marks. Keep working hard you two!!
