why is this statement incorrect
”adjustments to financial accounts are recorded in cash book and summarized and posted to general ledger”

Adjustments to accounts do not necessarily affect the cash book at all.
Did you study everything before attempting questions?

Of course they are talking about financial accounts, but cash is only one of the accounts.
