    Dear sir / Madam

I am a accounts clerk with 14 year experience working in a charitable organisation preparing full set accounts and past 15 months working in a legal firm as a same position. I have a certificate for Book-keeping and Accounts Level 1 from PITMAN Examination Institute of London which is associated with the City and Guilds of London Institute.

At present I would like to achieve my goals as a qualify accountant by entering myself into acca. As a first step i would like to sit for exam F1, F2 and F3 on December 2015. May I qualified for this above mentioned exam. if yes, kindly guide the next step.

    Thank you.

    With regards,

    Vhisalatchi Taraju Naidu

    Hi Vhisalatchi,

I think you should be entitled to get exemptions from F1-F3 exams. You have to present to ACCA your current qualification for them to evaluate them.

Your next step should be setting up account in ACCA and upload scans of your certificates and documents to claim exemptions. You will still have to pay fees for exempted exams.

I suggest to get things going on as soon as possible so you know what to start studying.

    Regards,
    Seagoat

    Hi Vhisalatchi,

Yes you may aswell ask about exemptions, ACCA are very quick in responding so you should hear back from then promptly. I know someone who graduated with a degree in accounts and got Eight exemptions all the Foundation papers apart from F8 which is auditing.

An idea I suggest to you is over the coming days look at Auditing F8 videos on opentuition. If you do not hate them then sign up to ACCA and enrol to sit F8 in June. If you do not enjoy them then do CIMA which is similar to ACCA but does not have auditing. Hopefully you will find F8 ok and then ask for your exemptions, perhaps you might get F4 and F5 too but unlikely. to be honest F1-F3 are very straightforward and are computer ones so F1-F3 can be sat any day you wish , if you fail them you can even sit it an hour later again if you pay another £80, so no big deal if you do not get exemptions. F8 is really a standalone exam so no real need to know F1-F7 before it.

    Regards

    Paul

    Hello

I read on the ACCA website…from march 2016 there will be 4 exam sessions each year. If so then how many exams will we be allowed in each session?
