Is it necessary to know all methods of calculating goodwill?..and NCI..or just stick with 1 method to avoid confusion….

That true, to be on the safer side in exams.
Of course you need to know the four different ways in which the goodwill should be calculated. But you don’t need to know “The kaplan Way”, “The BPP Way, nor “The OT Way”.
Find one way you like and stick with that. Hopefully, whichever way you choose, the answer should still come out the same!
I personally prefer the OT way but, there again, I would wouldn’t I?
