In the bpp text i read a sentence like this
The cost of major IS based methods of working,combined with their inherent Communications capability have made alliances based on IS a natural development
This sentence is written in relation to alliances that the organisations make with each other.
Please tell me the full form of IS here
I think that all it means is that good IS/IT make it easy and efficient for organisations to cooperate by, for example, forming alliances.
So Apple uses Foxconn to construct its phones. This is aform of alliance and you can be sure it is based on very good IS cooperation.
