if a franchise make a loss does the parent company need to record part of the loss in there p and l?
My understanding of ” Franchise” is that the
company granting the permit to use the brand
is not a owner in any way. The company gets a
payment for use of the brand name. Along with
whatever else is agreed in the permit.
Therefore if not a owner cannot record any loss.
I stand corrected if not so.
