Hi Mike,
I would like to know that is it possible for we to take an engagement as forensic accountant for our audit client ?
Because we will have to act as an expert witness at the end of investigation and that will create advocacy threat (am I right?) for our audit.
If possible, what is the available safeguard etc.
Thank you so much in advance.

Safeguards? Don’t accept the assignment! You could hardly be called as an independent witness to support your forensic findings when you have been / still are the auditor
And please accept that I do NOT live my entire life just to answer the questions of impatient students!

May 6, 2014 at 12:17 am #167574Hurm, the last question I posted here was a week ago. I saw the other student’s question in case of duplication but the question is different even though from the same topic.
However, I’m glad that you answer my question and I am sorry for my impatience. Please accept my apology. Thank you. 🙂
