Yea, I am a new comer of ACCA. And I am very eager to know how to prepare for the exams. Such like do i need to memorise those terms and definitions. And when it comes to some case studies in the exam. What are the processes to do them?
You do need to know definitions eg inherent risk, assertions.
However, most marks are for applying theory to the scenarios in the exam. Lots of detail is provided in the questions and you have to address the specific issues and problems raised. Eg how would you audit inventory in THAT company.
Have a look at some of the revision lectures in the OT F8 site that show you how to approach questions.
