Hi Mike,
When calculating goodwill for the CSOFP I made 1 mistake (I used the wrong share price for the share exchange). The ACCA mark scheme shows 5 marks for goodwill, please could you tell me whether I would score 4 or 0 here?

One mistake? One mark
It’s never an “all or nothing” situation. In this respect, the ACCA is fair and their markers are ( for the most part ) experienced. For those who are inexperienced, don’t worry! Everyone has to start somewhere – we are all inexperienced at everything until we’ve done it a few times. The ACCA DOES exercise control over the consistency of the quality of the marking exercise
