1) In the MTQ flyscreen where EPS has to be calculated, the shares have par value of 50 cents. And as I calculated the answer was 13.48c. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Set up your table (D N P F W)
(I assume that you have followed the free course notes on this subject!)
Coming down the date column, there are 3 entries: 1 July, 2015, 1 December, 2015 and 31 March, 2016
Coming down the number column you have: 500, 600 and 1,000
Down the period column you’ll find: 5/12, 4/12, 3/12
In the fractions column, there is: (on the top line there are 2 fractions) 6/5 and 1.9/1.74. On line 2 there is 1.9 / 1.74 (nothing on the line 3 fractions column)
And the WANES column there is: 272,988,505: 218,390,806: and finally 250,000,000
Add that lot up and you arrive at 741,379,310
Divide that figure into $200,000 and you should arrive at the correct answer
