    HI John

    If the end of financial year is 1st September, what is the starting of the period date? I am confused with it. like i know if closing is 31st december, then starting is 1st Jan

    If the financial year ends on 1 September (which would be very odd – more likely it ends on 31 August (the end of the month), then it starts 12 months earlier i.e on 1 September of the previous year.
