It is common to treat shares bought on another company for both trading purpose and held to maturity as Financial Assets.

On the other side is not Financial Liability. It is always Share Capital, right?.

I seem to remember that shares held in group companies are not treated as a “normal” financial asset – I believe they are one of the exceptions to the IFRS

That’s not a question that anyone can answer – some have already started weeks ago, others will leave it until next month before they start. Work on the principle that the more you do, the better your chances of success. Basically, don’t put off starting another day – start yesterday, if that were possible!
