With regards to financial analysis, does it matter if I say for example, “revenues have increased from 500 to 550” or “revenues have increased by 10%” I’m still saying the same thing, and provided that I back this up with an explanation, will it affect my mark?
Also, are there any tips on things to look out for when doing a financial analysis?
Thanks!
I think that expressing it as a percentage is more useful. Whichever, you would need to follow that up by perhaps saying that this represents good/bad/satisfactory growth. Just stating that revenues have increased by 500 to 550 doesn’t say much more than is in the question.
