HELLO…
I have completed the three papers of FIA( FFA,FMA,FAB) only. Now what should I do to transfer my self from FIA to ACCA and start F4 onwards.February 9, 2014 at 4:27 pm #157369u will be automatically transfer within maximum of five working days or you can call acca to do so if want it to be done at earliest ..better start preparing for f5 and give f4 as cbe which is starting from September 2014 onwards..
February 9, 2014 at 4:39 pm #157373thanks!
I didnt get your point on F4…February 10, 2014 at 9:24 am #157618At the moment, Paper F4 is paper based – all the questions require essay answers.
However, it is changing and there will be a computer based exam (and still a paper based exam) and part of the exam will be test questions rather than essays.
Tabsom is suggesting that you take Paper F5 first and leave F4 until the new format starts because it might make it easier. He may well be correct although we will not know for certain until specimen papers are released by the ACCA in the new format.
February 10, 2014 at 9:55 am #157630February 10, 2014 at 10:15 am #157644Oops!
Yes it is – I had not realised that it was already up.
Thanks.
February 10, 2014 at 10:34 am #157656but its not only for f4 😮
February 10, 2014 at 10:38 am #157658Sorry – I was talking rubbish in my last post.
I knew that the specimen papers were up, but I don’t think that the specimen CBE version of F4 is there yet (only for F1, 2, and 3)
February 10, 2014 at 10:53 am #157664Thanks a lot Mr. tabsom and Mr.John Moffat.
I have to take three papers this sitting (june 2014).
So can both of you suggest me which ones should I take as of now I am looking to take f4 next sitting. eg f5 f6…(the best combination with f5 and f6)
and once again thanks a lot! this will surely help.February 10, 2014 at 1:43 pm #157736better go for f5 f7 and f8 bcz f7 and f8 are somehow interrelated to each other… f8 is whole theory paper..f5 and f7 requires a lot of maths skills.
or you can take f6 f7 and f8 because f6 is related to tax and tax rates changes each year..if you will take this paper in June (may god help you pass) but if failed then you can attempt it again in December without facing any difficulty to cope with changes.
beside all you should check exams date, and make sure that there wont be any problem if the papers you are taking are without any holiday(next day)June 2014 Session

February 10, 2014 at 4:42 pm #157783I agree more with the second of tabsom’s suggestions.
It is always better to take F6 in June so that if the worst does happen, then the retake in December will be on the same tax rules.
February 10, 2014 at 8:47 pm #157852ok… thanks!
so i’m starting with f6,f7,f8 hoping that there is no knowledge carried forward from the papers which i will take later (f4, f5).November 12, 2014 at 6:39 pm #209465Hello sir,
I got myself registered in FIA in around 2013 .I had given f1 and f3(CBEs) and will go for f2 somewhere in dec. How many papers are there to be attempted in FIA to get in ACCA ? My ACCA account shows that there are 7 more papers remaining including F2 . Is this the criteria?. Secondly, since F4 corporate law will turn cbe by january, would I be able to appear for f4 before the completion of FIA?November 12, 2014 at 6:55 pm #209471If you want to get the CAT qualification, then yes – you have 7 more papers (because you have to take the earlier papers as well, or claim exception from them).
However, if you intend the transfer to the ACCA Qualification then you only need F2.
With regard to F4, you have to transfer from FIA to ACCA first. So you will have to wait until you have passed F2 (but because of CBE it doesn’t mean waiting long 🙂 )
November 12, 2014 at 6:59 pm #209476Thank you so much
November 12, 2014 at 7:04 pm #209481You are welcome 🙂
February 7, 2015 at 7:06 am #225637Hello,
What I understand from the posts that I read above is that if you want to transfer from FIA to ACCA all you have to do is complete FFA, FMA, FAB exams, Is this correct? Was also wondering if I can just register and sit those three exams or do I need the other four as prerequisite (FA1, MA1, FA2, MA2)?
Also thanks to the team here at opentuition.com. really appreciate what you guys are doing.
October 19, 2016 at 6:38 am #344889Hello,
I passed my FIA last exam in 8 sep. Today I went for my F4 exam but in examination hall I came to know I,m still not transferred to ACCA and now also I,m unable to sit in F5 exam too. what should I do now?October 19, 2016 at 7:43 am #344909Congratulations on passing your last FIA exam.
You should contact the ACCA about it – there is nothing that we can do.
