I passed nearly all exams of FIA, just missing 1 of the last optionals (FTX) to get the CAT Certificate.
For having the exams passed I have the exemption for F1, F2, and F3…I applied to do FTX exam, together with F4 and F6 in June 2013
ACCA don’t allow me to do exams of FIA and ACCA at the same time. “I can’t be in the 2 systems at the same time” (I even offered to pay 2 memberships)
– 1st of all F6 is a higher exam than FTX (so if passed F6, it should be an exemption for FTX)
– 2nd if I just can be in one system or FIA or ACCA at the same time, It’s a waste of 6 months of time for no apparently reason, just simply because the rigidity of the rules and no one in ACCA able to think in different options that people may want and make the students an easier life instead of placing barriers on the way.
Thanks for reading my disappointment.
February 23, 2013 at 2:40 am #118584Unfortunately that is the way the system is. While you may think it a waste of time, I suggest you spend the time to study for the FTX and at the same time begin your ACCA preparation, so that all being well in the June sitting with FTX, you could sit more papers than just two in the December sitting.
February 26, 2013 at 6:01 pm #118778Thanks for your support… I talked by phone with ACCA and they told me that if I pass the F6, F8, F9 I can actually claim the CAT Certificate…
So, probably I will try to sit for the 3 F exams in June and 3 F exams in December… (hopefully not the same again!!)
