Sir what do u think i should do now for p7, i must admit it was my fault taking it lightly, as i had heard its all technique and not much knowledge is required, secondly i had more or less left 25 marks , as i did not manage time well, what should i do now?

    Learn to tell the time!

    Read this again:

‘i had heard its all technique and not much knowledge is required’ and ‘i had more or less left 25 marks , as i did not manage time well’

In one breath you say it’s a technique exam (and I agree with you that there is a whole load of technique involved in P7) and in the very next breath you show that you failed to apply even the most basic technique!

Rania, you ask ‘What should I do now?’

Read my article on examination technique – P7 home page, scroll down to near the bottom, click on the article ‘examination technique’ and read that

There are 2 similar articles written by members of the P4 marking team from about 3 years ago – read those too

For the next 7 weeks, read from cover to cover an up-to-date revision kit from a reputable publisher and then post again for the second and final piece of guidance / advice

do u think going through examiner answers is fine or i should read Kaplan and BPP answers?

I totally agree with you sir, past papers is key, because naturally it doesnt seem at all i have the technique but i feel that i have the knowledge

Examiner answers? BPP answers? Kaplan answers?

The the obvious one would be the examiner’s answers – the examiner writes down, in answer form, exactly what the examiner would like to see

But the other two have their own additional commentaries.

It really isn’t a make-or-break matter – they each are well worth reading

Get into reading those past exam questions and answers and when you reach the end of the book, go back to the start and do it all again.

It shouldn’t take you a full week to read from start to finish so that’s at least 7 reads through between now and, say, 20th February

Just read, read and read again and again and again
