Guys I could really use some help here.
I can’t believe I have failed F8 for the third time. I studied well and did really good in all the three attempts but don’t know why I can’t score more than 38 marks.
I am considering in leaving ACCA just because of this one paper. It’s just too much. Don’t know where I went wrong. Did the Exam kits, past papers, BPP text book, OpenTuition notes and still..

hey c’mon thats not it .. its not fair. Look F8 is a tricky papers its not difficult. There is a difference between Tricky and Difficult.
For Difficult you have to Try had, For Tricky you have get your basics right.
If you are failing for 3rd time then there must be some basics problem, My opinion watch out your answers on how to write a technical answers in few lines. i’m sure this will make F8 much easier.

I did f8 first time and got 48. I’m very very disappointed as with 2 more marks i wouldn’t need to resit all over again. What chapter are you doing in your study session?
Hi, dieselee, am too also failing 3rd times for F8. I know where I went wrong, we need more practice and understand the basics. So, never give up, we workhard together and sure we can pass through this June 2012.
@jackson, I would like to join your study group but due to timing different, would appreciate if you can post to documents folder that I can read on. TQ :>I know someone who failed an ACCA paper 7 times…3 1/2 years, every sitting. Finally passed the 8th time.
Don’t give up.
Read out the examiner’s comments about the paper and try to find and solve your weaknesses and mistakes!

i failed this paper 3 times as well by getting 46 next session 46% third session 38% and finally 54%. the fist attempt i never studied but just went to the exam room. the last one i believe these guys like using some sort of collumn when answering specific question.

which study text is best BPP or KAPLAN for F8 INT ?

i like f8 .. they write good! and better!
but alot of people like Kaplan so its personal preference!

you have no business given up, you just have to be inspired by the comment of others. people, like myself have had it rough with acca but there is always a sweet testimony that follows. If you could pass one paper, you can pass others.

i was in a similar place failed three times passed on fourth attempt. I didn’t find that the quality of my answers were any different but I made sure that if the question was on say risk that I would expound on the elements of risk in answering the question. you have to show the examiner that you know the topic of the question in providing an answer. don’t write aimlessly, but show your knowledge in answering the question.
also you will find from reading business news current audit issues that you can insert in your answers to show that you are an involved student. like i used olympus’ japan current audit issues in answering a question last sitting.
additionally watch for the examiners articles that come a week or two before the exam, usually they discuss a topic that is coming on the exam.

I have been with ACCA sicnce Dec 2007 and could passed just 6 papers 🙁 Do not know why I study hard and give time to my studies but I don’t know where I lack or what…… really fussed up…….. please help me out in this regard I can’t take a step back after giving so much time to ACCA 🙁

@hashmi224 which country are you from ? Also whats ur age? Well I would advise you to do something besides ACCA like bachelors degree.
If your in the hope that after completing f1 to f9 u`ll get a bsc hons degree .Trust me it’s not that easy. I got failed in my second attempt for OB bsc hons degree and this would be my final attempt.
Regarding ACCA , I have been with ACCA since 2004 and have cleared 10 papers and still feel trapped like you .
