Hi,
I have cleared all my F papers except for F7 which I failed with 45% this sitting and 48% in the previous one. I Have been doing my revision and studying using past exam papers but still end up failing? Is it really exam technique?
July 21, 2017 at 3:09 pm #397948If you find that you’re leaving the exam room not having answered all the questions, then it’s probably exam technique
I have no idea about your personal circumstances so any advice necessarily will be generalised
Practice is probably the key to your success. You should be attempting otqs and mtqs every spare moment of the day – don’t write your attempts within the revision kit (you do have a revision kit, don’t you)
Write your answers on a separate piece of paper. that way you can attempt the same questions multiple times
Practice all the mini-exercises at the back end of the course notes on this site. 95%+ of these mini-exercises are extracts from past examination questions so they are guaranteed to be the appropriate standard
Read the last 10 technical articles – again, available on the F7 home page on this site
Read my examination technique article (F7 home page) and also the examination technique article by a member of the P3 marking team (Yes, I do mean P3!) You’ll find that article on the P1 and P7 home pages on this site
Try to eliminate as many outside distractors from your life as you can (I don’t mean that you should go out there murdering romantic alliances, but you can maybe cut down on your socialising, television watching and sporty activities)
And post again on this forum whenever you hit a problem that you can’t resolve
OK?
