Hi John, Unfortunately i failed F5 third time (along with F6-45% but thats a different story and i dont want to touch it until i pass F5).

Feeling horrible and scared to try again. In our opinion shall i aim for Dec retake? I have been scoring 44%, 44% and 46% in my previous F5 attempts.
I am kind of lost and have no clue what went wrong. I was following BPP online classroom lectures and kit.

    In desperate need of guidance.

    Best Regards,
    A

I am sorry you failed, but I think that you should aim for December while everything is still reasonably fresh in your mind.

Have you watched my lectures on this website? They are a complete free course for Paper F5.
I assume that you worked every question in your BPP Kit? It might be worth getting a Kit from one of the other approved publishers, so that you have different questions to practice.
Did you give an answer to every question in Sections A and B of the exam? You must give an answer to all of them, even if some of them are guesses (because some guesses will be correct, and you are very close to 50%).
Did you do something for every part of each of the Section C questions? That does not mean finishing each part, but you must do something because almost anything will get 1 or 2 marks. Also in the Section C questions, are your workings set out neatly so that the marker can follow them? For these questions the marks are for the workings and not for the final answer, but you will obviously only get them if the marker can follow your workings.

Do ask in this forum whenever you come to something you are not clear about, and then I will help you 🙂

Don’t worry, I have also failed this paper three times. All with similar marks to yourself. This time round, I will be focusing on preparation and starting as early as possible (now!).

I’ve been told by previous tutors that marginal fails are normally down to poor exam technique. I will be focusing on studying the past exam papers and their model answers.

    We can do this!
