Help!!!Going mad soon!
October 17, 2018 at 1:51 pm #478921Have you taken any of the P level papers? Sometimes its easy to get bogged down by continuously studying the same module over and over especially when its one you probably feel you should be passing at this stage. Whats your method of study? Did you ever attend any classes for FM or is it all self study? The fact that you’re so close to passing means its only small margins. I think the theory is so important in FM and should be given as much time as the computational questions.
October 18, 2018 at 11:02 am #479086I also got stuck with F9 for a long time (more than 10 times) and just like you, my scores were around 45-49. It made me crazy and doubt about myself, my journey. I were also extremely busy with my full time jobs and family commitments. There were some moments, I was frustrated and thought of giving up. However, I kept moving forward and successfully passed it in September 2018. My advice to you is never giving up and always believing in yourself. To this paper, the best method is practicing a lot with multiple choice questions, you can use free resources of CBE questions on ACCA website. The more you practice, the more comfortable you are with the questions and the faster you get it done in the exam. All the best to you on your next sitting in December. Good luck 🙂

This is my last paper which is ridiculous.
January 15, 2019 at 11:23 am #502029If you are failing multiple times with a mark between 40 and 50, something is wrong with the way you are revising. It could be:
– You are not practicing enough questions
– You are not practicing under timed conditions enough
– After practicing questions you are not reviewing your answers and making note of where you are going wrong
– You are focusing too much on regurgitating knowledge and not applying your knowledge to answering the actual questionJuly 16, 2019 at 10:18 pm #523908number 11 just now.

July 24, 2019 at 2:51 pm #524807First of all, please don’t loose your heart, the failures will lead us to the final success. You guys are very close to pass mark 50%. You might just need some exam technique to pass it next time.
I failed F9 June 2019 sitting. I am going to resit in September. I might not be the proper person to answer above question. As I have resit F7 and passed it at second time, I would like to share my idea and hopefully, it works for all of us.
1. using ACCA official website, there is an video about how to resit exam. it suggests ” read examiner’s report”. The examiner’s report will list weakness students made in the past exams, those could be our weakness too.
2. using past exam papers. it’s very important even the past paper only include section C questions. practice those questions, note down the syllabus areas have been tested in the past, how often the topics have been tested and how to answer it, maybe memorize the answer provided in the past paper by exam team.
3. practice as many as you can but also note down the incorrect questions and why answered it wrong. list the weak knowledge areas and read textbook again. practice all incorrect questions again.
4. if you have tried many times previously but failed, try to ask yourself, what have I done wrong? which syllabus area is my weakness? Have I understand it fully? Have I done good practice for it?
I hope it helps. Remember, we only need 50% to pass it and once we pass it, we don’t need to think about it!
Good luck to all of us!!!
