Hi Catherine
Good luck with P7. Apply common sense in your answers, and imagination.
But CRUCIALLY apply time management in answering every part of the questions you select.
And PLAN BEFORE you write your answer.
Don’t cross out the plan, but head it clearly “Plan”

May 31, 2013 at 12:17 pm #127974hi mike,
i came in p7 forums now.i came back to same question, If the SOFP is unmodified, unqualified but there is a going concern issue is been properly disclosed as well. What will be the wording for any material by nature case??
2. is “Low balling” and “cold calling” and “contingency fees” are banned?? or they can be used with the safeguard in place??
Thank you very muchMay 31, 2013 at 4:49 pm #1279942 – low-balling – allowed it’s a competitive market!
Cold calling is allowed, but no follow up call
Contingency fees -allowed, but only if it’s normal in that type of situation. Otherwise, no
1 – What’s the “going concern issue”. If the concerns have been properly disclosed, then I would have thought emphasis of matter would be appropriate. If not properly disclosed, or not disclosed at all, then a disagreement qualification on the basis of inadequate / inappropriate disclosure.

September 2, 2013 at 12:10 pm #139502Thank You! Now just got P6 to tackle which I am hoping with plenty of question practise and doing pass cards to revise I will pass!
September 3, 2013 at 12:49 pm #139631Fingers crossed!
September 4, 2013 at 9:12 am #139756Mike, I know P6 isn’t your area but any suggestions on what the best way to study for it would be? At the moment I am making passcards so its bitesize notes and ideally want to spend some hours at the weekend then attempting one exam question on the pass cards I have made.
Then revise the pass cards during my way to and from work and during lunchtime if possible.
By End of October I will then start the P&R kit.
I am just not sure if I am wasting my time making the pass cards?
September 5, 2013 at 6:13 pm #139939Different folks, different strokes! If it works for you, then you can’t be wasting your time. I know that for my own family, flash cards worked wonders for them. Personally I have no experience of using them – only writing them! Maybe if I had used them I would have been better in my early academic studies.
If you can stick to your own timetable and be at the stage of using the revision kit by the end of next month, it seems to me you’re headed in the right direction
