factory profits

Hey, I realise this may be a bit elementary but what are factory profits? Is it the same as transferring goods at a mark up? and should it be added to the gross profit ?

It rather depends on how that phrase is being used in the question. You would normally expect the factory profits to actually be the gross profit.
