I have no deep knowledge in F9 FM and wish to do P4 for September session, is it safe for me to go with self study, without a tutor. Is there a lot of assumed knowledge from F9 needed in AFM. A fast reply will be so helpful.
July 4, 2019 at 11:49 am #521778There certainly is a lot of assumed knowledge from Paper FM (the new name for F9) in Paper AFM (the new name for Paper P4).
You say that you have no deep knowledge in F9, but presumably you passed the exam OK (or were exempted from it, in which case you presumably studied the topics on your degree course).
Depending on how weak you feel, then you really have two choices. Either go straight into our AFM lectures, but refer back to our FM lectures if you come to any areas that are purely revision (and that are therefore only covered quickly in the AFM lectures) and you realised that you do not properly understand.
Alternatively watch the relevant FM lectures before starting to study for AFM.
Everything in the FM syllabus is examinable again in AFM, with the exception of the topics under the heading of ‘working capital management’. - AuthorPosts
