Question 47 ( Pavlon) from the F9 revision kit, how are the shares calculated for Year 1- 5?

I get the current year, but don’t understand the Note 1 and 2 given in the solution.

I am sorry, but I do not have the Kaplan Kit (only the BPP Kit).

If it is a past exam question, then tell me which exam because I have copies of all past exams and so I will be then able to look at it and answer you.
