I can not figure out how to do the growth rate calculation on my scientific calculator. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m a home studier with no one else to ask!

From 2010 to 2013 there are three years of growth.
The earliest dividend is 31.1 and the latest is 36.

If g is the average growth rate, then

    31.1 x (1+g)^3 = 36

    So 1+g = cubed root of 36/31.1

You will have a cube root button on your calculator and so you should now be able to get the answer.

Thank you. I understand how the calculation works I just can’t not figure out where the cubed root button is on my phone. Have tried googling but I’m still not getting the correct answer.

Student4314 is correct about the alternative, but if you have a scientific calculator then I am very surprised if it does not have a cubed root button (maybe a second function over the square root button?)
