Hi, In the F9 2016 June exam, a question was asked on raising finance for a SME.
There are lots of answers to this, I went on saying about for Forfaiting and how this could be used.
Not sure if this would get any marks, can someone advise?
You will probably be given some credit (assuming you explained properly what it is).
However, it is not a source relevant to all SME’s because it is only relevant for exporters (selling foreign receivables to the forfeiter) and, of course, not all SME’s do any exporting.
The main sources of finance that the examiner would be after are those discussed in my free lectures.
(And if you ask in this forum, because it is Ask the Tutor, the ‘someone’ who answers will always be me 🙂 🙂 )
Thank you John that is great. The question did say give TWO examples of raising finance by an SME. I guess the fact it did not specify if it was a foreign exporter or not, I could conclude It is a source.
am kicking myself now as there was so many answers to give.
You are welcome 🙂
