Yea I did my teacher told me in my revision lectures to do so for the Analysis so I did discount to present value by assuming the Cost of equity as the discount rate 😛

    1st question wacc 11.6%…am i right?

WACC for me was 11.25% maybe due to some rounding difference I think we have a slight difference answer

Which countries? With the four zones all countries should have started by now.

I think there is a bit of overlap with the different time zones, but I suppose no exam finishes before another one starts, for obvious reasons.

However, once you’ve sat down to take your exam, are you allowed to change your mind and leave the examination centre before it finishes? It seems to me that there is a risk of cheating, but I don’t see how they can physically keep you captive!

You are correct – sorry. I believed that the ACCA had sorted out the time zone problem.

However, this website is not the only way students round the world can communicate, and I do not believe that the limited time available gives any real advantage.

so how did you all find it?

I struggled on the one calculating the cost of the company using growth for the future dividends. It was like future dividends were
    yr 1 zero
    yr2 zero
    yr3 25
then yr 3 onwards increases by 4%

How do you calculate the growth from that? !!!

There was one question where the examiner gave the current dividen in the paragraphs and then below was a table saying
    2010 45
    2011 56
    etc

Did you all use the dividend in the paragraph in your calculations? I think this would have caught a few people out

    What are your thoughts?
