I am sorry that you did not make it in June – especially with a mark so close.

The three main things are study, practice, and approach in the exam itself.

As far as studying is concerned, only you know how confident you are about the individual topics. If you have not watched my free lectures then I do suggest that you do (and if you have then watch again 🙂 ). Do not just concentrate on the calculations – remember that only 50% of the exam is calculations, and the rest is theory.

With regard to practice, have you got a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers. If not then you really should buy one and practice every question (without looking at the answer until after you have tried it yourself). Preferable a current edition of a Revision Kit, because the format of the exam has now changed (with more MCQ’s and fewer long-form questions). There is a specimen exam in the new format on the ACCA website.

In the exam itself, you must allocate your time between the three sections. For the MCQ’s you must hand in an answer to every question – guess those that you can not do and those for which you run out of time. For the long-form questions you must attempt every part of every question. You will not be able to finish every part of every question but you must write something. Make sure your workings are easy for the marker to follow, because in these questions the marks are for the workings, not for the final answer.

Any problems then do ask in this forum and I will try my best to help.
