i want to know if one can simply start with p7 notes for preparation purpose if his f8 pass is old or p7 would suffice?

Additionally i wanted to know how much of a knowlege of p2 ifrs, ias is required. In depth or just go through?

It wouldn’t harm you to listen to the F8 lectures again!

P7 is effectively the auditing of complex accounting issues. Where will you find “complex accounting issues” in an exam context? In P2! So a sound understanding of IAS / IFRS is really a MUST

    OK?

Thanks. Just thought that if p7 notes do cover f8 stuff then why not start with p7 itself.

And could your please guide me regarding the time required for preparation. I am not asking clear cut time period but just to get a bit inspiration from you as you must have had contacts with a lot of students over the years. How much time (vaguely) do you think must be given to P7 preparation.

Besides do you know if acca does reveal changes to the syllabus before every attempt since i ccant find any such document on internet. Thanks in advance!!

Changes in syllabus are on the P7 pages on this site. Look at “open tuition, home, acca, P7, syllabus” at the end of 6 pages (?) you’ll find “changes”

I have had MANY similar requests for “How much time” and each time I’m forced to say “That’s unanswerable” It depends on the individual. Some take many hours, others do it in a lot less. Family, work, other commitments, personal abilities …. Too many variables for me to be able to give you constructive guidance. Sorry 🙁
