    Hi all,
a question about CBE F8 techniques as it really affected my anwering when I did the CBE exam, please help.

Anyone knows how to ensure the table size provided in F8 CBE not to change all the time when we type words in to the table?

What happened to me is (1) the column of the table only allow me to type in one word and sometimes the column become wider when I type more words, which the previous line still only got one word. (2) when I press enter for next time, the column size will change. ….I’m not sure if this situation only happens to me. Please can any one advice how to ensure the columns stay in the same width when we type in the anwer?

I suggest you practice using the CBE constructed response workspace (see link “Access constructed response workspace” at https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/computer-based-exams/f5-f9-session-cbes-what-you-need-to-know/learning-support-for-f5-f9-session-cbes-new.html#) – you will see below the link also “Access the word processing exercise”.

In the constructed response, click through the instruction pages – then you can navigate to Wordprocessing pages 14 (2 columns) and 15 (3 columns).

The answer to your specific Q is that you need to select a column and click on the “table” options in the menu bar. From the drop down menu select “Cell” and then “Cell properties. In cell properties, under the “General” tab, there is an option to select width. With my screen just now using page 15 I found that setting the 1st column width to “200” and the 2nd and 3rd to “400” used the whole width of the workspace. When the width is set the text will “wrap” accordingly.

In the CR workspace you will also find the “help/references” which includes CR Question help.
