Hope you’re well.
I was wondering you if you could kindly shed some light on purchasing a study text. (I understand that you don’t consider it essential).
I’m looking at Kaplan and BPP on amazon and it’s quite cheap to buy the versions/editions for up to June 2017.
Would you be so kind to let me know, what, if anything has changed in the syllabus or exam for them to release a newer edition. The price difference is huge and I rather not buy the latest one unless I really have to.
Does the same applies to the revision kit?
Also F8 and F9 – I’m sitting these in December, does the same thing applies to these papers?
Your clarification would be much appreciated.

For F8 and F9 you really need to post the same question on those two Ask ACCA Tutor forums
For F7, IFRS 16 is now examinable and that’s the only change of any note in the F7 syllabus
Personally I wouldn’t buy a study text – you can get up to speed on IFRS 16 through the internet and Google (particularly the webpage IFRS 16, IASPLUS)
You should be fine with a June 2017 revision kit too
And there’s always this forum where you can ask any questions that you are stuck with
