Dear Sir,
I failed my f7 with 36% in June 2017. Now I need some advice regarding f7 resit. I am so confused should I resit f7 in Sep 2017 or take F8? Could you please advice me which option is better for me coz I haven’t started f8 yet. Is F7 syllabus same yet or is there any change in f7 coz I got exam kit f7 valid until June 2017 sitting, Is that ok for Sep 17 or should I buy a new one?
I would look forward hearing from you soon. Thank you

Personally I would go for F7 and try to build on whatever residual knowledge is still in your head from the June session
New material? I wouldn’t. Just make sure that you’re on top of IFRS 15 Revenue recognition and IFRS 16 Leases
The course notes on this site are up-to-date for both these new IFRSs
Where to start?
Wrap your study text tightly with sellotape and superglue the edges of the pages together. Then hide it in a dark place that you very, very rarely visit
Open a revision kit and start practicing the mcqs – no less than 2 hours each evening. And if you finish them, do them all again. And if you finish them, do them all again. And if you finish them, do them all again. And if you fini……
(Hint: do NOT write your attempts in the revision kit itself! Write your answers on a separate piece of paper)
Watch the revision lectures on this site (F7 home page) and work through the examples with me as I go through past examination questions for consolidations and preparation of single entity financial statements
Work through, and understand, all the mini-exercises at the back end of the F7 course notes (they start around page 202). These mini-exercises are 90%+ extracts from past examination questions and are (mostly) suited to be asked as mcqs or as part of a preparation of financial statements question
And, when you come to a problem that you can’t resolve, post again on this forum and I shall get back to you
OK?
