    Hi Mike,

I understand that if one does ACCA DipIFR then F7 is exempt, can you please confirm that. Also, if that is the case then would you suggest doing DipIFR instead of F7?

    Thank you
    Aditya

What’s the point? Dip IFRS is of equal difficulty as F7!

Even if it were easier (and it isn’t) you’d then need to upgrade your knowledge to be able to face P2

To answer your question – this is something I have never been asked before. I could look it up on the Internet but I really don’t see the point! Do you?

    Thanks for the reply Mike.

Well my thinking was that I could get the extra qualification, get F7 exempt and get a gap between exams (planning to write F5, F7 and F8 in December 2015 which are all back to back exams).

But what I understand from you is that it would probably require greater preparation than a F7 would considering the time in hand, hence I will probably stick to F7 for now.

    Thank you
    Aditya

    You’re welcome.

If you want an additional qualification, you could always do Dip IFRS after F7 and before or after P2 / qualifying

The F7 material is substantially all you’ll need fro DipIFRS

Download some of the past exams and try them using the F7 course notes and revision lectures to show you the way to tackle questions

And, of course, you can always ask on this forum should you encounter any problems that you can’t resolve

    OK?
