Neither is better than the other and, even it it was, this is not a matter that I would wish to go public on!

What’s the best way to practice and get good marks? To get good marks requires practice, so I’ll simply address the first part of your question

I find that, when I’m attempting any mcqs of more than, say, 10, I get very bored! That could only be corrected by self-discipline and endless hours of practice

Set yourself targets (and stick to them!)

Start with 10 mcqs to be done in 36 minutes

Have a break of 30 minutes (watch a television programme for half an hour, or have dinner, or go for a short walk round the block)

Then come back and tackle 12 mcqs (43.2 minutes)

    Break

Then try 14 of them (50.4 minutes)

    Break

    Up to 16 (57.6 minutes)

    Break

And carry on building up like that, accustoming your mind to concentrate for longer and longer periods

In addition, whenever you find yourself with nothing to do for 5 minutes, do a couple of mcqs

During the adverts break in the television programme you’re watching, do a couple of mcqs

At your work place, during lunch time, do 5 mcqs

Just keep doing them. Whenever the opportunity arises.

Do NOT mark your answers in the book – put your answers on a separate piece of paper. That way you can do the questions as often as you wish without being distracted by your previous efforts

Try that and let me know how you get on
