How useful are the F7 lectures if you are studying the UK variant as opposed to the International variant ?
I note that the course notes only seem to cover the International variant ? Is there a separate one for UK ?

No, there are no lectures specifically for the UK variant. However, as the UK gets closer and closer to fully adopting the IFRS, the UK variant will surely disappear and UK will attempt the same exam as "the rest of the World"!
Why not download the exam for both variants, make the comparison and draw your own conclusions?
