Dear all,
In about a week we are going to start our F7 study group. I need to decide on days and timings.
First of all, I need to decide whether we will have 1 or 2 sessions per week.
Till now in previous papers there were always 2 sessions per week, but it appeared to be time wasting and not very efficient.
I need your suggestions.
As for days, I’m deciding whether to put sessions on weekend , say Saturday, or during weekdays, say Tuesday.
Week day timing can’t be earlier then 5 pm UK time for me.
Weekend timing – any time during the day, but preferably morning or evening, say 8-9 am Uk or 5 pm UK.

I like the way you conducted the last session. I would prefer weekend morning – 8-9am.

Hi Ansi,
Weekend timing- prefer morning than afternoon.
During the week- any time after 5PM. your suggestion is fine ( better after 6:00PM).

I also prefer weekend morning. I just hope 8 am UK won’t be too early for others.

I was thinking about your comment and i think maybe there will be two sessions per week. Just like i told u in my e-mail.
One on tuesday at 6 pm Uk – during weekday sessions we will study theoretical bits and short examples.
One on saturday – 8 or 9 am uk time , during which we will try to practice questions from kit and maybe worthy examples from technical articles, if there will be any.
again, let’s wait for comments of others.

The weekday time isn’t too bad. But I guess I’ll have to miss the weekend sessions as before.
8 a.m. UK is 3 a.m. for me 🙁

that’s bad 🙁 that’s so so bad …we could arrange in the evening then like 4 pm uk. Just as we did before. But i need opinion of others.

Dear all,
Preliminary schedule is the following:
tuesday 6:30 pm uk time
saturday 9 am uk time.
Final schedule with topics will be posted in separate topic.
Group will hopefully start next week, on 12th July.
Please print out syllabus, and other documents that you consider important from ACCA global.

Hi…though i wish to join in too but 6.30pm is actually 1.30am for me 🙁 and i have P3 session starting at 10pm which is 5.00am.Therefore, i would like to download chat history and any other notes you upload Ansi. Thank you. 🙂

hi Ansi,
For F7 – I think it is every Tuesday 6:30p.m and Saturday 9a.m – do we need to cover anything before the session – have not done financial reporting before!!
For F8- it is Thursday 6:30p.m and did we fix any other date for F8…..

you are right about days and timings.
You absolutely need to cover relevant chapters before session. I will post schedules with names of topics during weekend.
Use all the resources available: kaplan, bpp, lsbf, ot, exp, emilewolf and maybe others.
I will buy kaplan’s books first. But next month will get bpp as well.
in any case we can start even with 2010 books as some topics never change, or change unsignificantly.
for F8 i thought to have only my session per week and to see how it goes. If i feel we need additional session i will fix another date . And if it will be okay , then we’ll stay with one per week.
