I am doing my first sitting of ACCA exams in December. I am planning on doing F7 & F8. My plan is to self-study, my firm won’t pay for courses and they are a fairly extortionate price. How likely is it to be able to pass these two exams by just self-study? I am aware there will be a lot of work involved.
when you say self-study do you mean just books or do you mean watching lectures as well?
Mainly just books but I will watch a number of lectures as well.
I’ve just passed F7 and F8 with 80 and 85% (I did F4 too). I self studied using a BPP text and a BPP exam kit. This was all I used. Despite being on the OT forum, I didn’t actually use any of their materials as I learn better by using books rather than lectures.
So, yes, perfectly possible to pass by self studying.
