hey guys
i will be taking the paper F7 for the first time in dec 2014..
could you guys suggest me which book to follow BPP or Kaplan ??
No, sorry. They are both ACCA approved publishers and there’s no way I’m going to distinguish between them. Some students prefer BPP and others prefer Kaplan. It’s all a matter of personal preference.
See if you can’t get hold of a copy of both of them and, having made a comparison, draw your own conclusions
I have studied F1, 2 ,3 And 5 from BPP.
Found it quite good. The thing is that i got few responses saying that Kaplan is better than BPP in practical papers while BPP is best for theoretical papers.
that’s why i thought i should clear the air out and get some guidance from you.
I’ve said it before and, no doubt, I’ll say it again! Preferences are very personal.
Do you like cooked onions? I hate them!
Do you like BPP? …….
You see where I’m going with this – some people do and others don’t
Get hold of a copy of both and make your own comparison and draw your own conclusions – because I’m not going to try to influence you one way or the other
I think either will be more than adequate, I used BPP and had no issues. Don’t get too reliant on the book, try to hit the questions as soon as you can, referring to the book when you need to brush up on a topic. There are videos of Mike doing past exam questions here that are good for getting into the format of doing questions.
