    Hi,

I have never posted a question in a forum but I am really hoping someone could take a couple of mins to help me out. I currently work in an accounting role for a software company. I am not exposed to audits in practise however I studies Accounting and finance at university and therefore I have a brief theoretical knowledge of audits. What I would like help with is to decide which of the three papers to sit this December 2013?

    F6- taxation, f8- Audit, f9- financial management

I do prefer numbers and I understand f6 and f9 are more numbers based however if Audit is an easy read I am very adequate to do that as well. I just would like to know which one is more doable in the time I have for now and which one is “easier”…Many many thanks in advance. (-:

Personally I would say F8 as there is no calculations you need to learn just theory!

Many thanks latoyah and tonymc, think im going to have to properly look at the syllabus and decide over the weekend. I have read on a few forum f8 being quite straight forward, I’m just a bit hesitant on that as I do feel more comfortable with calculations than lots of writing. hmm f6 is the most interesting to me as tax does intrigue me however there seems to be sooo much to cover in the syllabus. with F9 I vaguely remember WACC, CAPM etc from my uni days but then again from the past papers seems like its a bit more of application rather than just calculating these…Anyway I’m rumbling on now but many thanks guys, I didn’t actually think my post would be answered, think from now on I’m going to try and contribute a lot more in forums when I have an opinion to help someone out…merci! x

Sarita just confused, are you going to have a late registration or you already registered?
Early and Standard registered has already passed. If you are registering under late registration I suggest you go for F8 even though you are good at calculations. F8 just read and understand the audit language and you will be through.
Otherwise we need to know whether you are already registered for Exams.

Hi Beyagala, I am going to have to do a late registration, I think I have until 8th November to register. Its unfortunate as its £245 but my company is willing to pay for it for me so in that respect I’m lucky however it’s a lot of money I don’t want to take the piss and I want to make sure I pass first time round hence why I’m querying which one to do. (-: I was initially quite sure I was going to do either F6 or F9, however after this posting and the feedback I think I’m swayed more to F8 now (-:
