Really surprising to see that many people here found Q2 tough, even if the 12 mark question went bad it also had 13 easy marks in it!!

    Sunout,

ACCA have issue changes that indeed in June 2015, there will be two sections.

Section A will have MCQ’s and Section B will include written answer questions

I didn’t prepare the timing…. I spent 1 hour in the first Q, en then split the remaining time in the other 4 Qs.

Was really hard this exam. I also cross my fingers! I didn’t had time enough to finish and revise nicely the questions.

I was really prepared in 90% of F6 topics…but the time killed me, too much presure. I never thought that it was going to be so hard the time factor. I’ll be very lucky if I get 50 Marks.

Anyway, I want to thanks Opentuition, which gave me the chance to prepare the exam in 3 months. The videolectures are the most useful tool ever created for ACCA students. I bought KAPLAN F6 book and only opened it once, I can’t read 1.000 pages with 500000 examples, some people do not have that time (I work full time).

    Bffff….

    Very tricky tommy
Advise this. Advise that. Lots of different little pieces of information – different scenarios to think about and calculate under pressure. F6 examiner was very unfair this time. Jus saying. If you are changing the way you examine, you cant do it with all the questions come on…. When I saw the paper I was mad. oh well there’s next time.

Does anyone know whether with the 1st question, the partnership. Did you do capital allowances for the period up to which the partner left and then another calc for the last few months??

I think this is wrong, and if so, will I get any marks at all for this????

I agree they are changing the way the paper is but I think that it was a fair paper… I’am grateful to have completed my revision and practice kit before going into exams, it really helped me (especially in theory parts), some questions were similar… To me, i aced this paper

They are now making it more balanced in terms of calculations and theory… so my guess is that they are going to get more theory in the future because the calculations are rather easy… They want to increase the level of the paper

So glad to have read the comment in PQ News page10 – Super Humans Needed to pass ACCA – about unfair exams – Q2 in the F6 exam was mentioned. Glad it wasnt just us few that struggled – hope this will maybe taken into account when the paper is marked.

I do not think that the F6 exam was super difficult. However, i only had 5 minutes remaining when i started question 3. So even-though i fully understood the question, as i commenced it i heard “Pens Down!”. That is really frustrating especially when u only end up failing by 2%.
