I was exempt from F5 and I have studied the pertinent subjects many years ago. In a number of times, we were told that the F5 subjects need to be discussed in the exam not worked. There was an article on student accountant which implied so. However, during the December 12 session Q4 asked for the development of a decision tree. In revising, on the basis of the said guidance I tried to prepare for the criticism of a decision tree but did not draw one which lead me to be un-prepared. To what extent should we revise F5, then? Thank you.
I think you need to know quite a lot of F5and some F2 and F9:
Contribution analysis
Interpretation of variances
Expected values and decision trees
Correlation and regression
Time series analysis
Costing methods
Simple investment appraisal.
Usually you will be given results and asked to criticise or interpret them.
