Hi guys,
I’m new to open tuition. I’ve just registered today.
I want to sit F5 in September 2016 and want to start my preparation. Shall I follow the the current lectures and notes or will it change for September 2016 sitting.
Also what’s the best method to study using open tuition?Any replies appreciated
Thank you all in advanceMay 27, 2016 at 7:11 pm #317562Hi Shoheb,
I am also planning to sit F5 in Sep 16. My approach was to watch all the lectures and work on the notes. Then work on past papers, keep practicing them. So I am on that stage now. And after that I have plan to cover any arears that and unclear- go thru again lectures, textbook etc. And then as revision I plan do read technical articles, do mock exmas and review all the material.
I hope that helped a bit.
By the way in which country are you going to sit the exam?
Good luck,
Paulina
May 27, 2016 at 10:04 pm #317585Hi Paulina,
Thanks for your reply.
I’m going to sit in UK (Leeds).
Are you going to follow the current lectures and notes or are their going to be any changes for Sep 16 sitting because I believe the current ones are for June 16.Thanks once again
ShohebMay 28, 2016 at 8:00 am #317636Although the notes for September will not be uploaded until immediately after the June exams, the changes are minimal. You can be using the existing notes and lectures without problem.

May 29, 2016 at 6:14 pm #317971Hello sir
Thanks a lot for instant reply
I know already about the approved publishers such as BPP, KAPLAN and so on…..
Unfortunately, I could not manage to find any webs or publishers that they could have ACCA ebooks.
It would be massively helpful if I could be given any links or webs which direct me to ACCA ebooks.Regards
May 29, 2016 at 6:40 pm #317973Hi,
Do I have to buy the revision kit only or the complete text aswell.
Will it be enough just to follow the lectures and notes on open tuition. Also roughly how long before the exam should I aim to complete the lectures and start the revision.
Thank you
ShohebMay 30, 2016 at 8:58 am #318076Hello ! I am preparing for September session too. Arent you looking for study buddy? not planning to make a study group?
June 1, 2016 at 6:29 pm #318707I sure am looking for study buddies. But I have not found any appropriate studying materials for September. can any one guide me how to find e-books for september
June 1, 2016 at 8:25 pm #318727The free lectures and free lecture notes on this website are more than enough to be able to pass the exam well. They are a complete free course for Paper F5.
I you prefer to use ebooks, then you need to buy them from the ACCA approved publishers!
June 5, 2016 at 11:46 pm #319703Hi
I wanted to know roughly how long before the exam should I aim to complete the lectures and start the revision.
Also I have been told that the changes for September 2016 sitting are minimal, still is it possible to know where the changes will be.
Thank you

Resources available on ACCA website will help I would say 35% in your success. I strongly recommend download and use all available study material for F5 preparation.
June 12, 2016 at 8:40 am #322514shoheb: you can find any changes by looking at the very end of the syllabus on the ACCA website, where they are listed.
Jaspreet: in the next 1 or 2 weeks
Jangraizafridi: certainly the ACCA resources are important, but most important of all is question practice and for that a Revision Kit is vital (there are only a limited number of pas exams on the ACCA website, fewer MCQ’s (because these are not now published), and (of course) the format of the exam changes as from September and Revision Kits have lots of questions in the new format.
Mohammed Eftekhari: Go to the websites of BPP or Kaplan or Becker – you can buy the books directly from the websites. To find a study buddy, post in the study buddies forum.
