Hello!
I have two questions regarding the revision material of F5:
1. Is it a waste of money if I purchase a ‘passcard’ from the approved tuition provider (for F5 in nature, is it worthwhile for me to use such revision material)?
2. For the question bank, should I choose BPP or Kaplan (self-study)?
Thank you in advance for your support!
Rather than use the revision lectures, you would be better using the main F5 lectures (together with the lecture notes) because they provide a complete course covering everything you need to be able to pass F5 well.
The only book you need is a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers. They contain lots of exam standard questions to practice on, and practice is vital.
BPP and Kaplan are both fine – it does not matter which one you choose 🙂
Dear John,
Thanks for your reply!
I have heard that Kaplan’s is concise (for more experienced guys) and BPP’s is comprehensive (for starters). Is this a misconception?
The ‘passcard’ I mean is a pocket note rather than the course.
Thank you once again for your support!
Have a nice day!
I think it is a misconception. Everyone is different – some people prefer Kaplan and others prefer BPP, but it is a matter of taste. The overall level is the same.
Yes – I know what Passwords are. Some people like them for last minute revision, but they are simply summaries of the main points – they are not for actually learning from.
Thank you very much John!
You are welcome 🙂
