Hello classmate,
How is your examination F5 to day (01 Jun),
I feel this exam is easier than pass but I still could not complete anh many discussion part I cant do due to the writing skill not good and management time too.
How about youJune 1, 2015 at 4:12 pm #251369Hello,
I agree that the F5 paper was fair but feel I may I have messed up.
Section A was ok & I think I may have got the 50% I need on that section.
However section B had 2 horrible questions for me: transfer pricing one (think that may have been number 4) and the one with the 7 mark profit maximising formula (which may have been question 2), so I fear I may have lost 25 marks on those ;(
Good luckJune 1, 2015 at 4:41 pm #251401Finally done!!!! Hope successfully. John’s lectures for F5 were very helpful.
June 1, 2015 at 4:46 pm #251409Do someone remember what profit per unit did you have at q4?
I had 155, one colleague 175…:)))
June 1, 2015 at 4:58 pm #251417I think part B was quite difficult and tricky this June.
June 1, 2015 at 5:01 pm #251419Transfer Pricing question hardest by far

Was it profit per unit we were asked for? I put overall profit based on demand calculated with the equation. Damn.
June 1, 2015 at 5:11 pm #251431Wasn’t prepared enough but I might still have passed, best of luck to everyone. Hated that transfer pricing question, and the last question was a bit wild on zero based budgeting

Transfer Pricing question hardest by farCompletely agree! Really threw me. Not sure if I’ll get any marks for that – or the ZBB question.
Very disappointed with the exam. Thought I was well prepared but two of the five questions were horrible.
Can anyone remember the mark allocations for Section B? Trying to figure out how I did but mind has gone completely blank on the questions.
June 1, 2015 at 5:12 pm #251434I did the stupidest thing ever. This was my first ever written exam and I’m afraid in my opinion the invigilator did not explain the format of the exam.
I did my written answers on the question booklet. The sad thing is I think I could have passed, as I knew the pricing question, and I new the ABC question and I knew bits and pieces of ZBB and Transfer pricing. The multiple choice questions were not that hard either.
June 1, 2015 at 5:12 pm #251436I think was the price… not profit… and than calculate the profit.. not sure…

I did overall profit too, so hoping that was the question! Now I’m starting to doubt myself and wondering if I misread the question!Hope so!
And my profit figure seemed ridiculously high ($20m odd) which made me doubt myself when I’d calculated the fixed overheads at $800,000.

OMG. For q4 were we meant to use high and low method to calculate the variable cost and fixed cost. Cos I did that and had $21/unit as my VC and $800k for my fixed costs.

Fixed cost were 800’000 USD – I got them by high- low method from the total overheads, then the variable o/h were as far as I remember 3$ per unit. Overall profit very high, 23mln contribution minus 800k USD fixed costs. Looks should be all right 🙂
June 1, 2015 at 5:16 pm #251447I could not relate the scenario for ZBB. I just used text book knowledge!!

Q4 seems to be the only one I can remember for some reason! I had b as 0.001, a as 310 and Q as 144,500. Overall price $165.50 (I think).
